Barneveld, the Netherlands, is the place where I was born (1969). I studied Business Administration at the Dronten Agricultural University in the Netherlands, resulting in a Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) degree. In 1997 I emigrated to Canada, attracted by the wide open spaces of Southern Alberta. Until 2003 I worked in the feedlot industry around Picture Butte (I still get nostalgic when I smell silage and cows).

In January 2004 I started a new career as a full-time farm realtor with Real Estate Centre (at the time called Info Market Group GMAC) in Coaldale, Alberta. To add to the fun, in June 2007 my wife and I bought a big run-down grain farm between Turin and Enchant in Lethbridge County. We improved the farm and then gradually resold it again. Right now we live in the Diamond City area (close to Lethbridge) and I run my full-time farm real estate business from there.

Over twelve years in the business have given me much to be thankful for; confidence, knowledge, experience, and many loyal clients. I was able to serve many farm families, both locally and from overseas, in transactions that varied from a few acres to many thousands of acres, both in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Irrigated crop farms and intensive livestock operations are a few of my specialties. I like to pay attention to detail and I am not afraid of complicated deals.
